The 2 count refill package I believe he's talking about is, in fact, a net quantity of 35 oz. You do not get 2 packages of 23.4 oz. I'm not sure where this person is able to purchase (23.4 oz) refill packs, but the ones I've purchased have always included 2 packages with a net quantity of 35 oz (which is stipulated on the front of the box). When I do the math, the subscribe and save option is actually a better deal, since you actually get 5 packages of true 23.4 oz quantity. That makes 117 total oz of powder. At the sub/save price of $103, this seems to be a better deal. If you were to buy 5 separate packages of the 23.4 oz product at the typical price of $23-25 you'd be paying around $115 to $125. As always, if you shop around you'll usually be able to find discounts and sales on Enfamil depending on where you shop, but I think Amazon is offering a nice service putting this product on subscribe and save. He was on Axid and Prevacid and was still a miserable, screaming, vomiting, eczema-covered mess. He did not have the typical blood in his stool that MSPI is known for, so the first doctor did not diagnose it. I read an awesome book by a pediatric GI that explained that blood and mucous in the stool are not required. I put him on this and saw an improvement in all of his symptoms within less than a week (usually 2 weeks are required for formula switches). This stuff literally changed my son's life. I took off one star because it would be nice to have another source of carbohydrate other than corn syrup. I know Similac Allimentum uses Tapioca startch, but I don't like that it also uses sucrose, which caused me to pick this. YES is smells like gym socks. NO my son did not care, he went to town on it like he hadn't been fed in weeks. It does cause looser stools, so if your child is prone to that anyway,... Bottom line is take the cost and divide by the total ounces. Costco does have a 3 pack of the 17.5oz ones that we get for about $44 that is about $.84 an ounce, under this subscribe and save its $.88 but that is about $5 for this huge case of 117oz and this arrives at your door and you have to refill less because of the bigger containers. It's actually a good deal and about time Amazon added this to the subscribe and save, I'm still getting Pampers for less than the Kirkland brand at Costco! |
